This morning
you arrive in Europe and connect to your flight to Dar es
Salaam international airport in Tanzania. Dar es Salaam, the
‘Haven of Peace’, is the functional capital, largest city and
commercial center of Tanzania. Many safaris to the southern
circuit begin here.
Upon arrival
you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

you will be transferred to the airport for your scheduled
flight to Selous. Upon arrival, you will be met and
transferred to your camp. Enjoy your afternoon game drive.

Selous Game
Reserve is a World Heritage Site and the second largest game
reserve in Africa. Selous is a stronghold for over 50,000
elephant; 150,000 buffalo; large population of lion; leopard;
hartebeest; greater kudu; hippo; crocodiles and numerous other
species including impala; African wild dog; waterbuck;
wildebeest; zebra; giraffe and a small number of black rhino.
Over 2,000 plant species and 350 species of birds have been
recorded. The Rufiji River, the largest river in East Africa,
roughly bisects the park and it flows from southwest to the
northeast. The Rufiji and its tributaries, including Great
Ruaha and Luwego, have high concentrations of hippo and
crocs. Exploring the Rufiji River, its channels, swamps and
lakes by boat is another great way to view game and experience
the reserve.
Accompanied
with your guide, spend your two full days of viewing and
photographing the animals. Other activities offered here are
such as boat trips, walking and fishing.

will be flown to Ruaha. Upon arrival, you will be met and
transferred to your camp. Enjoy your afternoon game drive.

Ruaha has
magnificent and spectacular scenery. It is known for its
great population of elephant; greater and lesser kudu; hippo
and crocs among other animals. The great Ruaha River with its
impressive gorges, deep pools and rapids is home to many hippo
and crocodiles. The best time to visit the park is from June
– November, when game is concentrated along the Ruaha River.
Large numbers of greater and lesser kudu; elephant; wildebeest
and impala can be seen along with eland; sable antelope; roan
antelope; buffalo; defassa waterbuck; ostrich and giraffe.
Lion, leopard, spotted and stripped hyena, African wild dog
etc. are also present in large numbers. Over 400 species of
birds have been recorded.

Enjoy your
final game drive in this area. Later you will be transferred
to the airport for your scheduled flight to Dar. Upon
arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel, where
dayrooms have been reserved for your comfort and convenient.
This evening, you will be transferred to the airport for your
departing international flight.
