ARRIVE
BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA |
|
|
Today you
arrive in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Upon arrival, you will be
met and transferred to your hotel.
Enjoy a
half-day tour of the city of Buenos Aires. Buenos Aires is
an elegant cosmopolitan city. The tour will introduce the
visitor to the beautiful parks and gardens of Palermo, the old
quarters of San Telmo, the bustling banking and business
centre and the historical Government House, Congress and the
Recoleta Cemetery. You will hear about the immigrants who
came from Europe, the politics that swayed emotions, changed
lives and became the theme of stories, music and theatre.
This is an entertaining and interesting tour.

BUENOS
AIRES |
|
|
Today you
enjoy the Tigre & Delta Cruise. You will be driven through
the fashionable riverside suburbs of Olivos, San Isidro, San
Fernando to Tigre, with its gracious homes, weeping willows,
open air restaurants and cafes, assorted food vendors,
soap-box politics, this is the preferred “playground of the
porteños”. Continue by motor launch for a leisurely cruise
along the waterways and islands of the delta. Cruise past
turn of the century stone mansions, English cottages, Italian
villas, little wooden shacks painted bright blue and green,
ferries, crews practicing in outriggers, lonely canoeists,
rowing and yacht clubs.
This evening
enjoy dinner and the tango show. The menu offers a great
variety of International dishes and selected wines. Followed
by a An authentic Tango show with virtuous musicians playing a
well-chosen repertoire, dancers showing the evolution of the
tango with a sober and varied wardrobe and excellent voices.

BUENOS
AIRES / ESTANCIA / BUENOS AIRES |
|
|
Drive into
the Pampas and visit a working Estancia, which contrasts so
sharply with the bustling business city life of Buenos Aires.
The Pampas are a blend of traditional Gaucho lore and modern
agro-industry. This estancia is considered the domain of the
great landowners, the home of the first polo players and the
wealth of the country. Spend an unusual day in an Estancia
enjoying local food and wine and the hospitality of warm
hosts.

Spend a full
day viewing Perito Moreno Glacier in Glaciares National Park.
This park stretches parallel to the Andes for over 120 miles
(200km). On the boundary with Chile, lies the eastern side of
the continental Ice Cap. A majestic glacier that descends
from the ice cap into the Lake Argentino, forming a barrier 3
km´s wide and 50 meters high. The Perito Moreno Glacier is
one of the natural wonders of the world and a reminder of the
Ancient Ice Age. Enjoy the natural show of the thundering
falling ice from a wooden catwalk directly in front of the
Canal de los Tempanos (Icebergs Canal) that separates the
Brazo Rico from the main lake.

Full Day
Upsala Explorer
Today is
scheduled for a full day of visiting Upsala Explorer. A
thrilling and dynamic program awaits you in Estancia la
Cristina. Departure from Puerto Bandera across the striking
blue waters of Lago Argentino, weaving between icebergs to
reach the face of the impressive Glacier UPSALA. Continue
across the waters to the harbor of Estancia La Cristina.
The estancia, which has an important
status in Patagonian legend, is still synonymous with
unspoiled natural beauty and is isolated from the worries of
everyday life, a place filled with the history of past
adventures and scientific expeditions. The exploration
continues either on horseback or walking in the Glaciers
National Park. A typical Patagonian lunch will be served
after these activities. This will be followed by a walk
around the estancia where one can learn about the fascinating
history of the area described by Eric Shipton, the famous
explorer, as ´a mysterious place, the most remote ranch in
Patagonia, maybe in all the world.’
