Chile is a country of extremes. Miles of Pacific Ocean cover the west and the east is almost all covered by the Andes Mountains. The driest desert on earth, the Atacama is located to the North. Emerald and sapphire lakes cover the South. The Lake District to the center is an area of incredible natural beauty. Here one can find the lakes, waterfalls, volcanoes, rivers, ancient forests etc.
A trip to Chile will not be complete without a visit to the wine countries. Also, cruising along the Chilean fjords is another highlight. Some say Chile is a hiker’s delight, a rafter’s goal and a climber’s Mecca. For those willing to go an extra mile, a trip to the mysterious Easter Island is worth the efforts.
