Today you board your flight bound for Amsterdam.

In Flight

This morning you arrive in Europe and connect to your flight to Nairobi, Kenya.  Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Nairobi Serena Hotel

This morning you will be driven to Samburu Game Reserve.  Upon arrival, you will be met and assisted to your accommodations.  Enjoy an afternoon game drive.

Samburu Serena Hotel (B,L,D)

Samburu is a small but excellent reserve of scrub desert, thorbush, riverine forest and swamps along the Ewaso Nyiro River.  It is located north of Mount Kenya.  Elephant and lion are plentiful in this area.  The park is known for the unique northern species such as beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, grevy’s zebra and other species adapted to an arid environment.  Leopards are often seen.  Samburu is known as the best park in northern Kenya. 

Accompanied with your guide, spend your day viewing and photographing the animals in this park.

Samburu Serena Hotel (B,L,D)

This morning you will be transferred to the airport for your scheduled flight to Masai Mara.  Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your lodge.  Enjoy your afternoon game drives.

Masai Mara is Kenya’s premier for game viewing.  It is the northern extension of the Serengeti ecosystem (Tanzania).  Animals are plentiful here.  When you enter Mara you’ll see an astonishing amount of wildlife, often in one place at one time.  The highlight of the Masai Mara is the annual wildebeest migration, when literally millions of these ungainly beasts stray north from the Serengeti in search of lush grass.  It is truly a staggering experience to be in the reserve at that time.  Other species seen in the Mara are such as elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah, buffalo, black rhino, zebra, thomson’s gazelle, eland and masai giraffe.   Also seen are topi, wild dog and spotted hyena among other species. 

Spend your day viewing and photographing the animals in this amazing reserve.

Enjoy your final morning game drive in this area.  Later you will be transferred to Amboseli.  Enjoy your first game drive in Amboseli.

Amboseli Serena Lodge (B,L,D)

Amboseli is the next most popular park after Masai Mara mainly because of the spectacular view of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain.  Amboseli is at the border of Kenya and Tanzania and even though the mountain is in Tanzania, one can see the spectacular views of this mountain on a clear day.  Amboseli is known for the great herds of elephants.  It is here where one can take photos of elephants or other larger mammals with Kilimanjaro in the background.  Other species seen at Amboseli are such as black rhino, giraffe, buffalo, cheetah, impala etc. 

Enjoy your morning and afternoon game drives.

Time permitting; enjoy your final morning game drive in Amboseli.  Later, you will be transferred to Nairobi, where dayrooms have been reserved to your comfort and convenience.  This evening, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight.
