Your
adventure begins today when you board your international
flight to Europe.

/ ARUSHA, TANZANIA |

Today you
arrive in Europe and connect to your flight bound for
Kilimanjaro international airport in Arusha, Tanzania. Upon
arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

ARUSHA
/ MACHAME |
|
|
Today you
will be driven to the village of Machame and on to Machame
park gate. After registration, you hike for four to six hours
through rainforest to Machame Camp (9,843 feet), where you
will spend the night.

MACHAME / SHIRA |
|
|
Today you
hike for five to seven hours to Shira hut (12,467 feet) on the
Shira plateau. This is a very scenic route with great views
of Kilimanjaro and the Rift Valley. It is considered to have
the best wildlife viewing on the mountain.

SHIRA
/ BARANCO |

The hike
today is about four hours to Lava Tower Hut (15,092 feet).
The vegetation change is spectacular as you walk through the
open grasslands past the impressive Shira Cone, Cathedral and
Needle Peaks. Descend to Baranco, where you will spend the
night.

BARANCO / BARAFU |

Today you
hike to Barafu, where you will spend the night.

BARAFU
/ SUMMIT / MWEKA |
|
|
After a very
early start, you ascend to the summit (via the Stella point),
where you will arrive in time for the sunrise. Descend down
to Mweka, where you will spend the night.

MWEKA
/ ARUSHA / DEPART |
|
|
Descend to
Mweka gate, where your vehicle will be awaiting. You will be
transferred to Arusha, where dayrooms have been reserved to
your comfort until your departure flight.
